I had a sermon prepared for today and it was a good sermon – probably not great, but a good sermon based mainly on the passage we just heard from Paul’s letter to the Romans.
Living and One True God, direct us in your ways that we may be unified and whole just as you are with the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
One word – Spirit. In Hebrew, it is, “ruach.” And, by the way, that Hebrew word is a feminine word. In Greek, it is, “pneuma.” In English, it is “wind” which can be also translated as “spirit” or “breath.” And all refer to air and its presence in our lives.
I have some questions about this gospel reading. My first question is this: How did the disciples know the identity of the two guys talking to Jesus?
