Stewardship Committee

Stewardship Committee

Christian stewardship is the grateful and responsible use of God’s gifts in light of God’s purpose as revealed in Jesus Christ.  At its most basic, stewardship is “What I do, with all the I have, after I say, ‘I believe.’”  The Stewardship Committee works with the clergy to help all members of Grace in their personal growth and understanding of what it means to be a good steward.

The main source of funding for the ministries and operations of Grace Church is annual financial pledges made in the fall of each year.  The Stewardship Committee coordinates the Annual Pledge Drive, along with special events, such as the Harvest Dinner, from September to December.  Nearly 95% of the Grace congregation makes an annual pledge.  The Vestry uses these commitments to construct the operating budget for the coming year.  It is this continual support that enables Grace to live into our vision for the future, and that sustains its ministries for years to come.
