Ceylon Mitchell and his Afro-Latin Chamber Project

The acclaimed Afro-Latino Ensemble (flute, piano, guitar, cello, percussion, and cavaquinho) demonstrates the unique development of Western-European classical flute music in the Latin American countries of Puerto Rico, Cuba, and Brazil.  The ensemble’s founder, flutist Ceylon Mitchell II, was recently awarded a 2019 Prince George’s Arts and Humanities Council Artist Fellowship Grant.
