The mission of Grace Episcopal Church, Silver Spring Parish, is to witness and share with all people the Good News of Jesus Christ in a diverse,
open, and welcoming community of faith.
Welcome to Grace. Our community is made up of some 650 households whose language, culture, and race reflects some of the
world-wide Anglican communion. We treasure this gift God has given to us, as its richness enhances our understanding of
God. The Grace faith community has worshipped in this place for over 150 years. Throughout this time we have grown and
changed.
As you peruse our website you will find information about our community, our ministries, our activities for children,
youth, and adults. We have been growing as a community, not only in our numbers, but in our faith. Our time together for
Christian Formation (learning opportunities for children and adults), worship, ministries (opportunities for service),
and fellowship nurtures our life as a community as well as individuals. Reaching out to one another, and to the larger
community of Silver Spring, challenges us to continue to reach beyond ourselves.
Come and take a closer look at our large family. We urge you to come and meet us, worship with us, and tell us about
your gifts, your interests, your questions, your hopes. We would very much like to meet you and share with you more
about us, our ministries, and our fellowship. We do hope you will join with us for worship, as your presence blesses
us, and we hope that your spirit will be nourished by your worship with us.
Should you have questions about membership or any of the ministries described, please feel free to contact one of the
clergy and staff, or one of the lay leaders of the parish. I look forward to hearing from you and perhaps meeting you.
Faithfully,
Janice Robinson
Rector
