Children's Ministries at Grace Church

"...Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." Mark 10:14

Our Vision

Grace Church Sunday School is an excellent opportunity for young children to learn about their faith, their church, and themselves. Our vision is a Sunday School where children:

  • learn about Christianity and the tradition of the Episcopal Church
  • are a part of the Grace Church family
  • are nurtured into a personal relationship with God
  • are encouraged to link their faith with the world around them

Share the Joy!

Kids in Sunday School Share the Joy is a curriculum designed for children from K through 6th grade (pre-K is under a different curriculum) with an understanding that children develop physically and spiritually at varying rates. Share the Joy is guided by a biblical faith, a fidelity to the teachings and traditions of the church, a clear vision of the Gospel, and the experience of believers. It tells the story of salvation in new and effective ways.

Crib Nursery

The nursery is located in the church Undercroft and provides care for infants through two years old. The Crib Nursery operates from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. on Sundays, September to June.

Sunday Mornings

The children are brought from Sunday School over to the sanctuary during the peace and before the Eucharist so they can participate in the celebration of the Eucharist with their families.

With the exception of special events and holidays, the Worship Schedule is followed every Sunday. If you have a question regarding the cancellation of classes, please contact the Christian Education Office.

Children's Chapel

In addition to special events and Sunday school classes, there is also a Children's Chapel once a month during Sunday School. Parents are always encouraged to attend.
