Growth Through Community

Worship

Online Worship and Limited In Person Worship

Our life begins with and centers around worship.

We worship three times every Sunday – at 8:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m., and 5:30pm.  All services feature excellent music and insightful sermons which bring the good news of Jesus to bear on everyday living.  Our 8:00 a.m. service is quieter and more reflective with a smaller group of devoted attendees.  The 10:30 service is significantly larger, with people of all ages attending, including families and lots of children who, after attending Sunday School, join the service in time for Communion. The 5:30 service is smaller and features more contemporary, spiritual music.

While our services are fairly traditional, our parish has a relaxed atmosphere.  Our hope is that you feel comfortable worshipping with us.  Children of all ages are always welcome in worship, though we do have a crib nursery for children up to age 3 and an active Sunday School program for older children.  The worship bulletin contains the order of service along with directions, making it easy to follow along.  And, anyone who seeks a deeper connection with God is welcome at the altar rail during communion.

No matter who you are or where you are on your spiritual journey, we believe that worship will lead you down the path to a deeper relationship with God, and we hope you will join us some Sunday.

Sundays at Grace

Worship & Reflection

8:00 am Holy Eucharist, Rite I

Our early morning service is quiet and intimate. There is music, hymns, sermon and Holy Communion. Children of all ages are welcome to attend this service with parents. This service lasts just under one hour.

Adult Forum

An opportunity for adults to explore issues of faith. Led by our clergy or outside speakers, each week, the forum focuses on different topics.

Sunday School

Children from ages three and up are welcome to learn about Jesus and our Christian faith. Classes are divided by age and led by our trained teachers. When classes are over, children are brought to church to meet their parents and participate in communion.

10:30 am Holy Eucharist, Rite II

A lively, joy-filled service featuring our Children’s and Adult Choirs, sermon and Holy Communion. Children of all ages are welcome to worship with their parents, or if parents prefer, to attend Sunday School. We also have a nursery where children under the age of three are welcome. This service lasts just over one hour

5:30 pm Sunday Afternoon Service

Our Sunday afternoon worship service begins at 5:30 pm, and this year, we will broaden our musical repertoire beyond just gospel to also include jazz, taize and traditional hymns, as well. Heather, our Director of Music Ministries, will guide the music and often be accompanied by outside musicians. If you can’t make it to church on Sunday morning, join us for this special service later in the day. The afternoon worship service runs throughout the entire program year (from September 8 through mid-June) and lasts about 50 minutes.

6:30 pm 2nd Sunday Supper

On the second Sunday of every month, we have dinner immediately following the Gospel service. Everyone is welcome to attend, and it is an opportunity to enjoy food and fellowship. There is no need to bring anything. Dinner usually last about 45 minutes to an hour, but people can come and go as their Sunday evening allows.
